Not necessarily but birdish shapes were definitely creeping into the picture as I painted. My mom's friend had requested a broad theme of "the soul's transcendence". Maybe birds are the closest thing I could relate to transcendence at that moment. :)
I didn't see the birds when I saw this at your parents house...but I see some now. Intended?
